Enable Meeting Duration in Zoom Desktop

As I have said earlier, Zoom doesn’t enable the meeting duration function by default. You have to enable it by making changes in Zoom’s setting. You can even use an alarm or reminder to get the duration of time.

To show the meeting duration, open your Zoom Desktop Client and tap on the profile icon present in the upper right corner. Select the Settings option and the Settings menu will open. Select the General option and you will see Show my meeting duration checkbox. Checkbox the Show my meeting duration option to get the meeting duration.

Now, the host will see the meeting duration in the upper right corner. But if you share the screen, then it will appear below the share screen controls. The meeting duration starts after the participant joins the meeting. The time duration varies from different participants depending on the time you joined the meetings.

Enable Meeting Duration in Zoom Mobile Apps

Zoom has become famous in both desktop and mobile versions. If you don’t have a personal computer, then you can access meetings through Zoom mobile app. You can enable meeting duration in Zoom mobile apps. The UI and feature set of the Zoom app is the same in both android and iPhone so, you can use the same steps for both devices.

Open your Zoom app and go to Settings present at the bottom, you will see the Meetings option. Select Meetings and scroll down to the bottom, you will see the Show My Connected Time option. Enable it and it will show you the time duration of the meeting. During the meeting, the host will see the meeting duration in the upper right corner of the screen.

Unhide Meeting Controls in Zoom

During an ongoing meeting, the meeting controls get hidden which would be frustrating to access some meeting controls like Zoom Screen share, Zoom mute, and more. To unhide the meeting controls, open Zoom on your desktop. Tap on the profile icon present in the upper right corner and select Settings. Go to the General option and enable the Always show meeting Control option.

Now, you will see fixed meeting controls in the Zoom app. You can use the same steps to make changes to your Zoom mobile app. You can also use shortcut keys to access some meeting controls during the meeting.
