Since 2020, millions of people are using Zoom due to its easy feature and interface. Today, many job meetings, music concerts, interviews, and more take place on Zoom. One of the reasons the number of Zoom users skyrocketed is COVID 19. Since the pandemic bounded everyone to work from home and Zoom has been the first choice for communication. Professionally, Zoom is used for presentation.

Now, people have started working from home using a presentation app like Zoom. It has become a normal thing among the people. Giving an online presentation is different from a real presentation. Lack of body language and physical presence can affect your presentation and can make your audience less engaging.

If you have been using Zoom for your meetings and conferences, then I have mentioned some tips and tricks that help to ace your next presentation.

  • Set Or Change Meeting Password

During your meeting, you won’t want some random person to invade your meetings. It is important to set a password during your meetings. Before hosting the Zoom presentation, you have to go to PMI Settings and enable a passcode for a meeting. Before starting the Zoom presentation, don’t forget to share your passcode with the participants.

How to Change a Meeting Password?

Meetings are assigned to a password by default. You can change the meeting password by your preference.

  • Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  • You will see the navigation menu. Select Meetings.
  • Click on the topic in which you want to change your password.
  • Click ‘Edit this Meeting’.
  • Edit the passcode in the security section. You can also enable ‘Waiting Room’.
  • Click ‘Save’.
  • Use Zoom Background

Zoom allows users to change their backgrounds using random wallpaper. Although, you shouldn’t use some childish background as it wouldn’t look professional. Some sources like Pixabay and Unsplash offer you some good wallpaper. You can use some background like Wall Street wallpaper for your sales pitch.

How to Add Zoom Background?

  • Tap on your profile and go to the Settings.
  • Click ‘Virtual Background’ present on the left menu.
  • Zoom will provide you with some default background. You can choose your choice of background by clicking it and it will change your screen. If you have a green screen on your background, then you can put your images on it.
  • On the Virtual Background, you will see + icon next to the Choose Virtual Background option. Click on + icon and a box will open allowing you to upload your photo. Click on the one you want to choose and it will appear on your screen.
  • If you want to get rid of your photos, Click on X present on the top left corner.
  • Use Touch Up The Appearance

Video conferencing can be an awkward thing if you are not familiar with it. Especially, if you are camera shy but Zoom provides you with some effects to polish your look. If you want to add some effects to your video, then Zoom offers you some touch-up features. Touch-up features take care of bad lighting in the room and will give some nice effects. A soft focus can make your skin look smooth and can give you extra confidence.
